Starting off, these first few blocks will be shaded solid and smooth as possible, as I learn how much pressure can be applied and for what amount of time before I get a burnt crispy hole. Sometimes I might want that hole, but for now it’s time to learn the basic functions of these tips.

This book was my mother’s and I plan on referencing it often in this project. Lots of wacky and lovely plates in this book.
